Bio Silvia Benini:
"Born and raised in Florence, in the shadow of farmhouses, vineyards, and
olive trees, I grew up with wine as part of everyday life. I helped my
grandparents during harvest seasons, and it was there that my love for wine,
and especially for Sangiovese, first took root.

Today, with more than 20 years of experience in the wine industry, I am
Export Manager for Uggiano Winery, combining commercial strategy with a deep
passion for sharing the culture behind every bottle. I am a professional
sommelier, WSET3, and I believe wine is never just a product: it is history,
identity, and the pleasure of sitting around a table together.

I live in Florence, and I carry with me the spirit of a true Florentine
woman: deeply connected to Renaissance beauty, art, and tradition, yet
always curious about the world beyond Tuscany. I love cinema, theater, and
rugby, and I developed a special affection for the United States through
friendships and experiences abroad, especially during my time studying in
Spain, where I also learned to love rugby and celebrate Thanksgiving.

For me, wine business is not simply about exporting bottles, but about
exporting the culture of Tuscany itself: hospitality, beauty, conversation,
and the timeless ritual of eating and drinking together"
